Privacy Policy
We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This privacy policy outlines the types of information we collect, how we use it, and the steps we take to safeguard your information. By participating in the SIP2027 conference, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy.
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us during registration, abstract submission, and other conference-related activities. This information may include your name, contact details, affiliation, and payment information.
We use your personal information to process your registration, manage conference activities, and communicate with you about the conference. We may also use your information to improve our services and for internal administrative purposes.
We do not sell or trade personal information. We may disclose information to service providers and other parties that reasonably need it to operate SIP 2027 or provide the requested service, including submission and review platforms, payment processors, financial institutions, publishers, conference service providers, verification partners, and professional advisers, subject to appropriate safeguards. We may also disclose information where reasonably necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal rights; investigate suspected fraud, identity misuse, document alteration, or payment abuse; respond to a lawful payment dispute; protect participants or third parties; or comply with applicable law, legal process, or a competent authority.
SIP 2027 may maintain submission, review, registration, correspondence, presentation, publication, verification, and administrative records. Where reasonably appropriate to conference administration, transparency, program preparation, presentation, publication consideration, verification, or the official conference record, professional and bibliographic information may be displayed on the SIP 2027 website, program, abstract or paper directory, proceedings, publication platform, or related official record. Such information may include a submission ID, title, author name(s), professional or institutional affiliation(s), abstract, keywords, presentation information, and the applicable submission or conference status.
A displayed status may include, as applicable, Submitted, Under Review, Accepted, Accepted and Revision Required, Rejected, Withdrawn, Registration Pending, Presentation Verified, or Publication Eligible. A displayed status applies to the relevant submission and conference stage only and does not, by itself, constitute an assessment of an author's professional qualifications, employment, academic reputation, institutional standing, personal integrity, research misconduct, or broader body of research.
Authors and participants may contact support@sip2027.org regarding a factual inaccuracy, incorrect attribution, privacy concern, or other issue relating to a displayed conference record. SIP 2027 will review substantiated requests in light of applicable law, publication status, contractual obligations, legitimate recordkeeping needs, and the rights of other parties.
SIP 2027 may retain and use relevant registration, payment, correspondence, identity-verification, and document records to investigate and respond to billing disputes, chargebacks, suspected fraud, identity misuse, impersonation, unauthorized payments, or suspected alteration or misuse of conference-issued documents. Relevant evidence may be disclosed to payment providers, financial institutions, affected institutions, professional advisers, law-enforcement, regulatory, immigration, or other competent authorities where reasonably necessary and permitted or required by law.
SIP 2027 does not use public shaming or public blacklists as a routine enforcement measure and will not publicly accuse a person merely because they made a complaint, refund request, or lawful chargeback. Where a conference-issued invitation letter, certificate, acceptance record, verification record, or similar document has been revoked, invalidated, materially altered, fraudulently used, or represented as valid after revocation, SIP 2027 may maintain or publish a neutral factual verification notice where reasonably necessary to prevent deception or third-party reliance and permitted by applicable law. Any such notice will use only verified facts and the minimum identifying information reasonably necessary to identify the affected record, which may include a participant's name and professional or institutional affiliation.
We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information. However, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information and accept no responsibility for any loss, theft, or unauthorized access to your information.
Our website and conference materials may contain links to third-party websites. These third-party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites.
We use cookies to enhance your experience on our website. Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer's hard drive through your web browser (if you allow) that enables the site's or service provider's systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time and will post the current version on this page. Where a material change introduces a new use or disclosure of personal information for which fresh consent or additional notice is required by applicable law, SIP 2027 will provide the required notice or seek the required consent. The version applicable to a particular transaction or submission will be assessed by reference to the policy and notices presented at the relevant time.
